Poem: Soul Judgement

Soul Judgement

I sat, silent and still.
Vulnerable to your judgement.
My soul, open and naked for you to see.
I let you see it,
in all its purity.
You promised not to judge.

I sat, silent and still,...
while you gazed into
the most infinite and precious
part of you me.

You promised not to judge.

I sat, silent and still,
tears sliding down my face,
But I stood brave
in all of my faith...
You PROMISED NOT TO JUDGE.

I sat, silent and still.
listened to words that made no sense.
You talking of all things,
that I had unseen
or were past tense.

Here, my soul,
bare open for you.
This is what I get in return?
The least you could do is wipe
away the tears on my face.
But you stand there,
allowing them to wipe away the grace
that I had.

I get up,
no longer silent and still.
I cover up my soul,
no longer there for you to see.

A gift,
taken with no thought
It shall be you who will be judged.
My soul can not be bought.

And now you,
one day,
will stand in judgement.

While I will be washing away the impurities
and trying to regain
my grace.

Poem: Healing Spring

HEALING SPRING

I feel your wind on my face
as the sun tries to uncover itself
from its darkened space.

The breeze shifts directions,
bringing on a weathering change.

A distant warmth reaches out
touching my cold bare skin
as it rises my temperature from within.

I can feel you so close,
as you blow through my hair.

The echoes of spring
whisper in the air.

Mother nature is dancing through my soul
and I urge the darkened winter ghoul
to crawl back into its underground hole.

I feel your changing winds in the air
Soon your bountiful bright colors will
spread everywhere.

Everything will be a'new
once again....

The changing of the season
give us a living reason,
as we dance to your amazing grace
feeling the greatness of your healing glow
on our face.

Remember, this is YOUR life-Make the best of it.

So many of us spend time trying to please others or worrying about what everyone else thinks. We work trying to get to the top of the career ladder, sometimes hurting ourselves (some hurt other people) and we stress ourselves out. There is nothing wrong with being successful, and if it feels good in your heart, then it is totally worth it. But when you spend more time being stressed out, weeping, going crazy or seeing less of your family, you start to question: Was it really worth it?

God gave us this one life. It is our gift. We also have a mission. Each one of us carries special talents to complete our missions. Some of us may be destined for success or to be up at the top of the ladder, but there are others, who are destined to live a little bit below their means.... God never gives us more than we can handle, and he has equipped us with the tools to live our life to achieve what he wants us to.

There will be people who you face in life who will question your morality, your beliefs and what you really feel in your heart. They will try to make you feel small, or make you wonder if you are in the right place. These are all tests. And some of these people, may not really know themselves what they want, but they get a high out of making people feel bad. Don't let these people ruin what is in your heart.

This life is YOUR life. It was given to you from God. It does not belong to anyone else. You can do what you want with it. Although, you must keep in mind, the decisions that you make, will effect the others close to you in your life-such as your family. So while this is your life, your family is with you on your journey too. And the members of your family also have their own mission to complete, but it is possible that their mission could be a part of yours as well.

Your family are the people you should lean on. If the other groups you belong to in life or the people you work for are making your question your heart or making you feel bad about yourself, then you should question if it is all worth it?... Or perhaps, you can find another way to approach these type of people. Don't let them think that their opinion matters to you. Only you can do what is right in your heart....

When you follow your destiny, path and complete your mission, you will be rewarded beautifully in your life here after... And don't ever feel like you are alone... God is right there, walking along with you. And every now and then, he will carry you.

Don't just give during the Christmas season... Help all year long.

During the Christmas season, more people are in the giving spirit. People are donating to food pantries, adopting families for Christmas and making sure people have a nice Christmas dinner and gifts for their families. It is such a blessing to see how everyone come together for the holidays. But wouldn't it be even more of a blessing if they did it all year long? I know some people are tight during the year, but every single dollar can help buy a can of vegetables or soup for someone who is need of a meal for the evening. If you are unable to donate money, you can always volunteer in food pantries or soup kitchens too.

There are families who need assistance all throughout the year, but it can seem even more lonely if they are homeless or hungry during the holidays. We must instill the spirit of giving throughout the entire year and remember that there are still those who are hurting either financially or emotionally. If we can try to lift up at least one person's spirit each day throughout the year, perhaps we can spread Christmas cheer all year long...

Some of the ways you can help donate or volunteer:

*Donate clothes that you don't wear anymore (clothes that are in good condition with no rips, tears or stains)
*Donate food or paper items to local food pantries
*Volunteer at food pantries or soup kitchens
*Be a tutor to children or adults with learning disabilities
*Help out senior citizens by bringing their groceries to them, sitting with them and visiting or bringing them cooked meals
*Donate art items that are still in good condition to schools, churches or anyplace that uses art supplies while they teach children
*Volunteer to rake people's yards during the fall or scoop sidewalks and driveways during the winter

There are so many different ways to help others throughout the year... Just be creative and think from the heart. You will think of a variety of things to spread the Christmas spirit every day of the year.

Poem: Her Angel Guide

Her Angel Guide

She sat in the dark for some time,
unsure of a path or a her purpose.
In a moment of bliss,
a message embarked on her soul
telling her to come forth.

"Do not be afraid my friend,
I offer my love and compassion.

I see you have felt alone
or haven't felt like you fit in...

Well my love, that is all about to end."

A brilliant radiant light shone behind her darkest shadows,
and sunlight and warmth enveloped her entire body
as a beautiful white angel transcended above her...

showing her a heavenly world that once felt strangely familiar.
Although that was many a years ago, where time once stood still.
The angel reminded her that they were friends,
and she, was her spiritual guide.

And the girl's broken heart exploded with love,
so much in fact,
that it trembled in vibrations throughout her soul...

The angel smiled with relief,
happy to remind her friend of who she once.

Darkness was not where she belonged,
Her friend, indeed, was an angel of light,
walking upon the earth,
with a mission to share love and grace
through written words...

Almost immediately, the sorrow escaped the young girl's face
Never had she felt so much at home.
Although her angel told her she must return to carry on the mission
and that they would see each other again one day soon,
in a place,
where time would be for an eternity.

Please remember the REAL meaning of Christmas...

After the Thanksgiving holiday is over, many go out to the stores for Black Friday shopping

There's sales and madness, and you really see how carnal people can be. When I was a child, I never realized just how mean or selfish people could be. As I grew older, and saw the leaps people took to get the material things they wanted, it made me cringe. There are needs and there are wants. And as I see video footage and news from people fighting over towels at Wal-Mart on Black Friday-that's when you have to take things into perspective. Is this really happening?

I in fact, know it is happening. I did partake one year in Black Friday shopping in hopes I could purchase a few things for Christmas.... Shopping on Black Friday is almost impossible unless you are a very forward person or are indeed-selfish. I saw towels and wash cloths fly through the air, jeans all over the floor and people rip boxes open like it was their last meal on Earth. I had to stand back and just think-"forget about it." Although, in those carnal moments, there was a nice person who asked me what color wash cloths I would like, (and I didn't care at that time), and she handed me some. I think she saw the fear on my face, and stepped in. That was probably the ONLY nice moment I ever had in Black Friday shopping (of course, I have only been twice in my life)...

But when you think about it, Christmas isn't about the gifts and all of these material items people are all fighting about. In fact, some years, I come to almost not like Christmas, because people have become so hooked on the shopping, sales and gifts. Christmas wasn't supposed to be about big screen televisions, iPods or the latest video gaming system...or the best cell phone deal. The last time I checked, it was about celebrating the reason we all are even here. It's about celebrating the birth of Christ!... He was born, and also crucified-He gave his life for us!...

Christ gave us the gift of life. Without his birth-we wouldn't have been forgiven or have the opportunity for eternal life with him. That is why we celebrate Christmas....

The giving comes from when the Wise men brought gifts to show their gratitude-to celebrate the birth of our King, Emmanuel.

If you like giving gifts to people on Christmas, think of something to show your appreciation for the people in your life... Something that represents your love to them... And that doesn't mean the latest bargains, electronics or other material issues... Think about something they could seriously put to good use... Or perhaps a family is need of food, fuel or need help paying utility bills. The gift of necessities goes a long way to help people more than something off the shelf in a retail store....

So before you go out Christmas shopping... Think about the true meaning of Christmas...Think about the gifts that the wise men brought... How do they compare with the gifts you are giving this Christmas? What is your reason for the season? ... What gifts would you bring Jesus?...

Remember the true meaning of Christmas...and pass it on. Before it gets lost in the madness of our ever-changing society.....
